Site work for a water / sewer project in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project will include construction to convert the existing drinking water production well at Beltz 8 into an aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) facility and add a new sanitary sewer pipeline and orthosphophate feed system. As of July 15, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available. Question Deadline - 01/05/2026 at 12:00 PM PT - Questions should be submitted electronically 1. Contractor will prepare and submit to Construction Manager for acceptance, a Schedule of Values for each item of the Work for which compensation is on a lump sum basis. The Schedule of Values shall identify the portion of the Contract Price allocated to each component of the Work. 2. The Schedule of Values shall identify American Iron and Steel (AIS) compliance data for each item of the Work, in accordance with Paragraph 1.03.A.13 of this section. 2.3. Upon request of Construction Manager, promptly furnish data and information that substantiates and supports the amounts indicated in the Schedule of Values. 3.4. Submit preliminary Schedule of Valuesto Construction Manager for initial review. The preliminary Schedule of Values is not required to include AIS compliance data; however, the Schedule of Values must be completed with AIS compliance data prior to acceptance by the Construction Manager. Contractor will incorporate Construction Manager's comments into the Schedule of Values and resubmit to Construction Manager. Construction Manager may require corrections and resubmittals until Schedule of Values is acceptable. 5. Schedule of Values may be used as a basis for negotiating price of changes, if any, in the Work. A. This section includes the requirements for commissioning all items of equipment and systems that form a part of this Contract. The purpose of this section is to define the requirements for bringing individual equipment, systems, and facilities online and for proving proper operation and performance of that Work. Contractor is required to develop, submit, and maintain detailed plans, including designation of management and staff, for these activities as specified herein. Additional requirements such as disinfection and training are specified in other sections. B. The commissioning referenced or specified herein include the following and is performed in the sequence it is listed: a. Functional testing b. Startup testing c. Performance testing C. Commissioning of installed equipment and systems including hydraulic and electrical power systems, testing of all valves, monitoring devices and control equipment. This section is focused on functional testing and performance testing. Refer to Section 01 75 00 Check out and Startup Procedures for information on startup testing. D. Train the City's personnel in the operation and maintenance of all supplied equipment. Training requirements are included in Section 01 79 00 Demonstration and Training. E. Integration Programming: Contractor will develop and perform programming at Beltz 8 in order to interface with the Beltz Water Treatment Plant (BWTP) and Graham Hill Water Treatment Plant systems. This will include, but not be limited to, updates to the existing site Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Operator Interface Terminals (OITs), databases, parameters to enable radio interface, archival storage (historian) parameters, reporting, and transfers of data as required to other entities as required by the City. F. Together with City personnel, integrate provided equipment and devices with the City's existing control system, including the existing RTU panel in the BWTP. G. Provide other manufacturer services as detailed in the technical sections.
