Note - Question Due Date & Time 08/08/2025 02:00 PM This project requires a New 100-Ton HVAC Chiller that will replace the inoperable York Chiller. The Scope of Work and Specifications (SOW/Specs) is based on a complete and functional HVAC Chiller system for the aviation maintenance facility. The Contractor shall provide the cost of labor, tools, equipment, and rentals for the removal and disposal of the old inoperable 100-ton Chiller and replacement of a new equivalent size Chiller, re-alignment of electrical and mechanical supply lines and that the contractor will ensure the New Chiller is compatible with the existing Air Handler located in the building. NOTE: Replacement/reposition and installation of all related electrical and mechanical lines, terminals, and devices, as applicable to the new HVAC Chiller system. And where applicable, all disconnected Direct Distance Control (DDC) devices and terminations must be reconnected to the new HVAC equipment/system should be included with the cost. Additional Cost of disposal for an old 100-Ton York Chiller located onsite. (Consult with Project Manager) 1.2. Pre-construction walk-through: During the pre-construction walk-through and prior to bid, a thorough field assessment of the location and surrounding area, existing electrical power source, electrical panels/circuit breakers, HVAC equipment, the size of the mechanical supply lines and Direct Digital Control system (DDC). The Contractor's License is required for this Project is C-52 Specialty Contractor, for Ventilating and Air Conditioning systems, or BC licensed Contractor holding a specialty license of C-52. The contractor shall submit a photocopy of the licenses/license before the recommendation of the Contractor Award Notice is posted in HIePRO. All Bidders must include, as an attachment to their quote, a Surety/Bid Bond and a Performance & Payment Bond. 6.1. SURETY BONDS: A Surety Bid Bond is based on the bid amount if the bid/price quote is $25,000.00 or more. The Bid Bond Penal Sum is five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond Form can be any of the industry-standard Forms used to transact business with the State of Hawaii. The State of Hawaii Department of Defense shall be the Project Owner. 6.2. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: A Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required for contracts of $50,000.00 or higher. At the time of execution of the Contract, the successful Bidder shall file a good and sufficient Performance and Payment Bonds on the form furnished by the Department or the Contractor's Surety, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract Price unless otherwise stated in the solicitation of bids. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be limited to the following: a) Surety Bond is underwritten by a Company licensed to issue bonds in the State of Hawaii. b) Legal tender; or c) A certificate of deposit, share certificate, or a cashier, treasurer, tellers, or official check drawn by or a certified accepted by and payable on demand to the State by a Bank, a Savings Institution, or a Credit Union insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the National Credit Union Administration. i. These instruments may be utilized only to a maximum of $ 100,000.00. ii. If the required security or bond amount totals over $100,000.00 each and issued by different financial institutions shall be acceptable.
