Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Washington, District of Columbia. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of bridge replacement, roadway realignment, parking lot construction, minor pipe culvert replacement, and stone masonry. The project includes construction of a single-span, 218.5-foot long steel plate girder bridge with a cast-in-place concrete deck. Abutments will be founded on deep foundations using drilled shafts. Upon completion of the new structure, the existing steel arch girder bridge will be demolished.
