Bid quotes are guaranteed for 90 calendar days. The Van Buren Intermediate School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities which it deems to be in the best interest of Van Buren Intermediate School District, and the right to award the contract to other than lowest bidder. All bids must include a Bid Security for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, including alternates, payable to the Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD), in either the form of a certified bank check or bid bond. If awarded the Contract, the awarded bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. It is understood that the bid security shall be retained as liquidated damages, not as a penalty, by the VBISD if the bidder withdraws the bid after being awarded the Contract, fails to enter into a Contract for performance in conformity with the provisions of the RFP or fails to furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds within fourteen (14) days of receipt of Notice of Award. Bidding companies are responsible for all measurements and other details of this proposal. Response to this request for proposal is indication that the vendor has checked all aspects of this request. The awarded bidder must comply with the applicable Federal, State, and local safety requirements. Prior to initiation of services, the awarded bidder shall provide a copy of their written safety program, which shall include health, safety, and environmental quality for review. The awarded bidder shall give all necessary notices, obtain all permits, and pay all government sales taxes, fees, and other costs. The awarded bidder will file all necessary plans, prepare all documents, and obtain all necessary approvals of all governmental departments having jurisdiction, obtain all required certificates of inspection of work, and deliver the same to the Van Buren Intermediate School District before acceptance and final payment of work if needed.
