Groveport Madison School District (GMSD) hereby gives notice of its intent to establish a file with current qualifications from design professionals to use as a resource when the compensation for design services will be less than $50,000. Services for which qualifications will be included in the file include architects, engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors. Anticipated projects include renovations and additions to current facilities and on-going permanent improvement projects at the multiple GMSD campus locations. Future projects at additional sites could also be possible. The qualifications file is being established based upon the authority in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.68, which permits a public authority to maintain a file of current statements of qualifications for pre-qualified design professionals from which it may select a firm to provide services when the estimated professional design fee will be less than $50,000.00. All qualifications received will be maintained in the file and will remain current for a period of one-year after receipt; firms are requested to provide updates on an annual basis to the qualifications to remain current. Statements of qualifications to be included in the file will be accepted at any time. Statements of Qualification Include the following information in the statement of qualifications submitted: 1. Name of Firm 2. Firm History -- years of experience 3. Education, technical training, and experience of principals and key personnel 4. Firm's experience with substantially similar projects 5. Firm's experience with K-12 school districts 6. Firm's experience with GMSD 7. Number and type of school projects undertaken over past 5 years 8. Location of the firm -- ability to provide on-site representation 9. Procedures for soliciting contractors to get qualified bidders for the project 10. Insurance coverage 11. Ability of firm to complete a project on a short timeline (1-6 months), including availability of staff and consultants 12. Ability to maintain budget and schedule 13. Staffing (in-house or outsourcing) for engineering, mechanical, and roofing 14. References Qualifications submitted will be reviewed and placed in the qualifications file; qualified firms may be contacted for future contracts as projects are identified and requested to provide pricing for services.
