Renovation of a communication facility in Bryan, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.
The Brazos County Auditor will process payments by invoice after notification of satisfactory receipt of items. Bids in excess of $50,000.00 may require a five percent Bid Bond. Brazos County hereby reserves the right to award by unit cost or lump sum discounted and to accept or reject any or all bids and waive all formalities and technicalities. Question Deadline 08/05/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Respondent with questions regarding the proposal should submit them in writing via the Brazos Valley e-Marketplace at https://brazosbid.ionwave.net Contractor shall expose, remove, and dispose of the existing damaged roofing material, sheathing, and wood on four (4) buildings. Rain gutters and downspouts and roof extrusions, if necessary, will be removed and protected on site. Contractor shall prepare the substrate, furnish, and install roofing material, rain gutters and downspouts, fasteners, roof ventilation, and other materials which are required to prepare work area, to repair roof with a complete waterproof assembly meeting the performance requirements specified herein. B. Contractor shall meet with Caltrans Contract Manager prior to beginning work to discuss work performance and to establish a schedule. All work shall be completed by Contractor within the time agreed upon at the pre-work meeting unless an extension is approved, in writing, by Caltrans Contract Manager. C. Before starting work, Contractor shall designate, in writing, an authorized representative who shall have the authority to represent and act on Contractor's behalf. Contractor's authorized representative or designee shall be present at the work site while work is in progress. Contractor's representative shall provide a working telephone number to Caltrans Contract Manager prior to the start of work. D. Contractor shall carefully remove the existing roofing material so that no damage occurs to the supporting roof deck, joists, fascia, or any other part of the building. Damage caused by Contractor during the roof removal shall be replaced with like material of equal or better quality at Contractor's expense, which shall include the same section depth, lip width, and gauge thickness of the member damaged. E. Contractor shall replace existing rot or water-damaged sheeting or decking with equivalent or similar materials, ensuring that the replacement matches the same section depth, lip width, and gauge thickness of the damaged member. QA - 7/23/2025: Brazos County would like to be live on the new system in January 2026. Brazos County would like to start as soon as the RFP is awarded, expectation was 2-3 months for research and configuration and a month for the implementation. QA - 8/4/2025: These are older analog Valcom paging systems. We use FXS gateways to convert the signal. If the solution would like to replace those with compatible IP based paging systems, that is acceptable Mitel would be acceptable.
