PURPOSE Following the requirements of Section _287.055, Florida Statutes, the "Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act" and the Federal "Brooks Act", the City of Miramar (the "City") is seeking to engage the Services of a qualified licensed Consultant to provide professional services in the form of Construction Administration associated with construction of the Bus Shelter Improvements Project (MIRA 020) (the "Project"). 2-2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The City is in receipt of Broward County Transportation Surtax funding and has committed to construct 9 Bus Shelters at various locations within the City limits. Consultant shall provide construction administration services for the Project. 2-3 SITE OF PROJECT The Project is located within the City of Miramar. The Bus Shelters are located at the following locations (locations are approximate): _ Bass Creek Road & SW 172nd Ave _ Bass Creek Road & Glades Middle School _ SW 172nd Ave & SW 23rd St _ Miramar Parkway & SW 136th Ave _ SW 25th St. & Ansin Sports Complex _ SW 145th Ave & Ross University _ SW 145th Ave & Hotel Road _ NW 67th Ave (Flamingo Road) & Somerset Blvd _ NW 67th Ave (Flamingo Road) & Silver Falls Blvd 2-4 SCOPE OF SERVICES A. The Consultant shall provide the City with construction administration services as set forth in the Contract Plans and General Conditions. Any and all plans, specifications, reports, studies, and documentation, will adhere to Florida Greenbook Standards, Technical Specifications, City of Miramar materials testing requirements and any other applicable manual, guideline, or standard. In the event of conflict the Contract Plans shall take precedence. B. The Proposers must be licensed to perform all services as described herein. Construction administration includes the following activities (but not limited to): Construction project inspection, project administration and recordkeeping, materials acceptance testing and verification, and contract compliance. C. The Consultant shall be responsible for coordinating a Preconstruction Conference as soon as practicable after a contract is awarded. The consultant shall notify the contractor and all other project stakeholders. D. All construction administration services shall be completed within 210 Calendar Days from the Notice to Proceed.
