Question Cut Off Date 7/25/2025 05:00:00 PM (CT) To ensure open and fair competition for all potential respondents, ALL questions and contact concerning this RFP shall be directed to the Johnson County Purchasing Administrator: Mark.Zack@jocogov.org 913-715-0590 Under the contract, work shall consist of removing and reducing (vegetative only) any and all "eligible" debris as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide (Version 5.0, Effective January 6, 2025), all applicable State and Federal Disaster Specific Guidelines and policies, and as directed by the identified Entity. Work will include 1) loading the debris; 2) hauling the debris to designated Temporary Debris Management Sites (TDMS), landfills, or other sites in the County designated by the County; 3) removal of hazardous limbs, trees, and stumps as directed by the County; 4) reducing vegetative debris through mulching, grinding, and burning; 5) debris removal from waterways as directed by the County. Debris not defined as eligible by Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide (Attachment B - Version 5.0, Effective January 6, 2025), all applicable State and Federal Disaster Specific Guidelines and policies will not be loaded, hauled, or dumped unless the County gives written instructions to the contractor. The identified Entity will view the debris removal (loading, hauling, dumping) and debris reducing operations as separate operations and reserves the right to call up and dismiss each operation independently. All contractor requests should be routed to the Entity contact through Johnson County Emergency Management or the Johnson County Emergency Operations Center when activated. The contractor will report to the Entity's site manager directly or an assigned liaison with each Entity that is requesting services to be provided. The contract resulting from this RFP shall be effective for the approximate twenty-four (24) month period from the date of the notice of award. The County reserves the sole right to renew said contract for three (3) additional twelve (12) month periods at the same specifications and terms and conditions of any contract that may be derived from this request for proposal if mutually agreed upon by both parties.
