Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Yellow Pine, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Valley County, Idaho invites bids for the EDA Bridge Replacement Project, Abstein Road. Following the Bid Opening, the bids will be read and recommended to the Valley County Board of Commission. In accordance with the plans and specifications, the work shall consist of installing a new bridge crossing on Abstein Road over the East Fork of the South Fork Salmon River (EFSFSR) in the community of Yellow Pine. Abstein Road is a rural local roadway maintained by the Valley County Road and Bridge Department. A new pre-engineered modular steel bridge (16' wide x 90' long) on precast concrete abutments will be constructed over the EFSFSR immediately downstream of the existing bridge. The new bridge shall conform to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Load and Resistance Factor Design (AASHTO LRFD) Specifications. The existing bridge and approaches will remain in place to be repurposed as a pedestrian path, and Abstein Road will be realigned to approach the new bridge. Valley County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or reject any proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the contract documents, or to accept the proposal or combination of proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the Valley County Road & Bridge Department.
