As indicated in the attached pictures, the office and change room building requires maintenance to the interior and exterior. The Rural Municipality of Mountain is seeking contractors to complete the site preparation of the office and change room building. As indicated on the attached pictures, the building is concrete/cinder block construction and previous paint has begun to peel. Preparation includes removing any old paint and creating a base for new paint to adhere to, which may include sandblasting. The contractors must indicate their method of preparation work in the submission. Following site preparation, the contractor should recoat the entire interior and exterior building with high quality, durable, epoxy for concrete application. This may include appropriate primer and sealant. Contractors should reference the most current ASTM Standards for painting concrete and masonry substrates. Paint color to be negotiated with the successful contractor but will include at a minimum two color and a maximum of three colors. Contractors must ensure that proper preparation of the site and use of high-quality materials are used to guarantee the work for a minimum of two years. Contractors should indicate on their submissions the average lifespan of the paint material selected. All work must be completed in a manner that maximizes the dry time, ensuring a proper bond. Work will be scheduled with the successful contractor. The Birch River Pool is located at 115 Victoria Ave South and can be viewed during regular business hours.
