Mt. Aetna Water Tank Valve Vault Access. Question Deadline 07/30/2025 at 4:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK 1. Washington County Department of Water Quality is requesting quotes to construct an exterior access stairway, masonry retaining wall and a new three (3) foot by seven (7) foot doorway for the existing valve vault room located between the underground water storage tanks for the Mt. Aetna water system. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for the following: a) Furnish and install a three (3) foot by seven (7) foot, Fiberglass Reinforced, Insulated, Exterior Door and Frame integral with the new Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) wall constructed to close in the underground valve vault room. The door shall have all stainless-steel hardware to include a dead bolt lock. Details for the limits of the new Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) wall and the associated reinforcing are shown on the Drawings and Pictures document. b) Excavate the immediate area outside the vault room between the underground concrete tanks to construct the reinforced masonry wall and footings as shown in the Drawings and Pictures document. Install a six (6) inch diameter SCH 40 PVC pipe with a brass stairwell drain in the concrete landing area outside the new door. Tie -in the existing four (4) inch underdrain line from under the floor of the valve vault room and extend the six (6) inch PVC pipe to the edge f the stream bank. All concrete used for footings shall be a minimum of three thousand (3,000) psi concrete and a base of six (6) inch thick #57 clean stone which shall be installed
