The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Georgia Post Safety Training Center (GPSTC) is seeking firms interested in providing Construction Manager/General Contractor Services (CM/GC) for a project known as GPSTC-044 Basic Law Enforcement Training Building, Georgia Post Safety Training Center, Forsyth, Georgia. Project Description: The new Basic Law Enforcement Training Building on the Forsyth Campus of the Georgia Post Safety Training Center will serve as a dedicated academic building to support the demands of the Basic Law Enforcement Officer Training course. The two story 36,000 sq. ft. building will include specialized classrooms for cadet instruction, gymnasiums, designated rooms for use-of-force simulations and other specialized training activities. The building will also provide essential office space for instruction staff. Project Delivery Method: The delivery method for this Project will be construction manager at-risk (CM/GC), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent, in addition to the services of a CM/GC. Design of this Project is complete so the CM/GC will be performing very limited Preconstruction Services consisting of review and cost estimating of the 100% Construction Documents. The Design of the Project has been completed and is being reviewed for permitting. Construction should start in late 2025 and a 16 month construction duration is expected.
