The City of Kenner (also referenced as "Kenner" and"Owner") will receive sealed bids for:25TH AND SALEM LIFT STATION REPLACEMENT The proposed work ("Work") includes: Demolition of an existing sewer lift station, construction of a new sewer lift station, sewer force main, water main, and concrete paving All bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents(which include, but are not limited to, all documents,sections, terms, provisions, and any requirements provided for in this bid) on file with Principal Engineering, Inc., 128Northpark Blvd., Covington, LA 70433, the Design Consulting Professionals (also referenced as "Design Professional") for this project. Q/A :- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Design Professional in writing. Design Professional will reply by Addenda to all parties recorded as having received the bidding documents. Addenda will be issued at least three (3) days (excluding weekends and holidays) prior to the time stated for Bid Opening. Questions received less than (10) working days prior to the date for Bid Opening will not be answered. Only answers furnished by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. A. The work of this Contract consists of demolition of the existing 25th and Salem Sewer Lift Station, construction of a new sewer lift station, water main, and concrete paving. The project is located at 2439 Salem Street, Kenner, LA,70062. B. The Contractor will be required to take photographs and audio-video recording to document construction progress throughout the Contract time. C. The Contractor shall perform the work complete, in place, and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, permits, cleanup, replacements and restoration required as a result of damages caused during this construction. D. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services, and incidentals to complete all work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings, and labor which is reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the work, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. E. The Contractor shall demonstrate that the completed pump station and force main facilities are fully functional and operational for use by operating personnel. F. During construction of the lift station improvements, the existing lift station shall remain functional without interruption. During pipe bursting operations, bypass pumping shall be performed in accordance with the sequence of construction as described in the general notes of the plans. G. The Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges, 2016 Edition shall govern, as amended by these project specifications. The Contractor shall maintain at least one copy of same at the project site at all times. H. Where construction conflicts with underground utilities, the Contractor shall be fully responsible for protecting these facilities and for restoring the portions of those lines that are damaged or severed as a result of the Contractor's operations. Where existing lines are in conflict, the Contractor shall cooperate with the owner of these utilities to the end that these conflicts may be removed prior to any required excavation. I. This project is subject to the findings and recommendations of the geotechnical report in Appendix A of these specifications, prepared by Gulf South Engineering and Testing, Inc., File No. 24-022, dated March 8, 2024. The Contractor shall adhere to all requirements therein, including excavation, foundation support, and fill placement The deadline for bidder questions is July 28, 2025, by 5:00 PM. Questions regarding bids should be in writing via email and sent to fincontracts@kenner.la.us (City of Kenner) and to Brien@Pi-AEC.com (Brien Croff). Include the bid number and project number in the subject line of emails. The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost is $950,291.00.
