Renovation of a transportation facility in McBride, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Corporation of the Village of McBride (Village), invites bids for accessibility upgrades at the McBride Train Station at 1000 1st Avenue, McBride, BC. The project consists of accessibility upgrades to the McBride Train Station. The main renovated area will be within the existing public washrooms on the main floor of the building. All existing architectural finishes are to be removed and replaced (floors/walls/ceilings). The new washrooms have been designed to be wheelchair accessible, and additional plumbing fixtures have been proposed in order to suit the current occupant load of the building. Other upgrades include replacement of the flooring in the lobby, and the main entrance from 1st Ave is to receive an auto door opener. There is mechanical and electrical scope; however, they will be tendered and contracted separately. We have included the mechanical and electrical drawings in the appendix of the specifications for reference. The mechanical scope includes new washroom fans and new plumbing distribution to suit the revised layouts. Electrical scope includes providing power to all automatic plumbing fixtures, auto door operators, mechanical systems, and removal and replacement of light fixtures.
