Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Base Bid: Removal and replacement of roofing components to the existing steel deck. Installation of vapor retarder, insulation, coverboard, 60 mil EPDM membrane and flashings. Roof insulation to be a minimum of R-30 insulative value and able to attain a 20-year NDL manufacturer's leak warranty. Alternate Bids: Removal of the existing membrane. Review and subsequent repairs to damaged, warped, or wet existing insulation system up to 25% anticipated prior to the recovery effort. Installation of additional insulation layer (to bring to code) with mechanical fasteners, and installation of a high density coverboard in low rise adhesive followed by an adhered 60 mil EPDM membrane and flashings. Again, roof insulation to be a minimum of R-30 insulative value and able to attain a 20-year NDL manufacturer's leak warranty. The work must commence on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The work must reach Substantial Completion on Friday, October 31, 2025 and must reach Final Completion on Friday, November 28 , 20 25 . The Pre-Construction meeting will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Ellsworth Community College, Room #131, 1100 College Ave, Iowa Falls, IA 50126. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
