PROJECT DESCRIPTION KCAB seeks proposals from qualified Design Build Contractors with demonstrated experience in commercial HVAC projects at occupied, public facilities. The project involves: The Design Build Team to assess the existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to verify capacity and compatibility with the new HVAC equipment and controls. Compliance with NFPA 220.87, an electrical assessment to confirm existing loads have capacity for the new design. Replacing the existing T3 Garage Vestibule HVAC system in-kind. Installing a new condensing boiler. Providing a new air handler and condenser. Adding a rooftop unit to improve cooling on the fifth floor. Installing air curtains at each automatic door to improve energy efficiency and comfort. Removing the existing pneumatic control system and replacing it with a new Direct Digital Control (DDC) automated logic system compatible with the CVG Building Automation System (BAS). Performing all related MEP work, selective demolition, restoration of finishes, and site cleanup.
