Balch Road and Gooch Lane Roundabout The City of Madison, Alabama invites interested contractors to submit sealed bids to the noted address for the award of a contract for the Balch Road and Gooch Lane Roundabout project This project consists of installing a roundabout at the intersection with curb and gutter, the addition of pedestrian sidewalks and ramps, installing new storm water pipe and structures, water service line relocation/installation, and meter reset on both the public and private sides. The project includes all work items necessary to complete the project and must conform to ADA/PROWAG requirements. Contractors are required to meet MUTCD standards for all detours and closure signage. Working hours are 7:00am7:00pm and the project completion timeframe is 90 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. The City anticipates issuing the Notice to Proceed for this project in May 2026. To be eligible for award, submitted bids must be completed on original bid forms provided in the bid packet and may not be faxed or emailed.
