PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work for: The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work as specified for the connection of groundwater extraction well EW-16 to the treatment system. As detailed on the Construction Drawings: 1. Install 15 horsepower, 150 gallon per minute pump provided by DWMR in EW-16, using drop pipe and couplings provided by DWMR. 2. Install stainless steel wellhead provided by DWMR. 3. Provide and install well monitoring tubes. 4. Provide and install well station piping, valves, meters, electrical power and control pedestal including motor variable frequency drive, and concrete well pad. Use low voltage DC relays for controls. 5. Provide and install 770 ft of subsurface water pipe and electrical conduit, pull boxes, valves and valve boxes, and 770 ft of gravel road plus 190 ft turnabout, and connect to well pad and existing infrastructure. 6. Provide and install 40 ft underground connector conduit and junction box at EW-9. 7. Provide and install approx. 2150 ft of 4-wire (3 conductors plus ground) power cable from EW-16 to nearest extraction well EW-9 through 810 ft new conduit installed in Items 5-6 bove, and 1350 ft of existing conduit built in 2024 construction phase. Replace approx. 550 ft of 4-wire power cables between EW-9 and EW-10 with larger cables as specified. 8. Install PLC and radio communications components provided by DWMR. 9. Comply with site environmental mitigation measures (Section 015719). Kiefer Landfill 12701 Kiefer Boulevard Sloughhouse, CA 95683 Access to the work area is via the KTP entrance on Kiefer Blvd., which is slightly southeast of and across from the landfill entrance, thence entering into the buffer lands improved gravel roads, passing groundwater extraction wells EW-14, EW-10 and EW-9 to reach the unimproved area targeted for this construction project. The KTP entrance is subject to low traffic and has no traffic control, as it is inside an automated treatment facility. Once inside the buffer lands, the contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and/or suppliers shall not interfere with the livestock. The contractor, subcontractor, vendors, and/or suppliers will need to open the gate to KTP and multiple gates within the buffer lands, but must close it right after entering, due to the possible presence of livestock Direct pre-bid questions to the Project Manager, Mike Koza, via the Q&A tab in the portal.
