Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of September 10th, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Anthony Canale Training Center Maintenance Driveway and Inlet Repairs project includes the installation of a new Maintenance Driveway to access the new, previously installed septic pump station. The driveway work will include, and may not be limited to, the installation of asphalt and concrete driveways, sidewalks, curbing, bollards, signage and striping. The storm inlet work will include, and may not be limited to, removal of existing inlet structures and castings, the installation of new inlet boxes and grates, new curbing and milling and paving of the existing asphalt roadway per the limits shown on the construction plans. Location: 5033 ENGLISH CREEK AVENUE, EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ 08234-5743 (Bid Bond and Consent of Surety Required) Original bid bond AND Consent of Surety documents are required to be received prior to the time of bid opening. Missing documents or documents that do not match what is uploaded below will result in a rejected bid. Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor Yes Q & A Deadline 08/07/2025 12:00 PM EDT In the event that a Bidder may have any questions regarding this Bid or the Work, all such questions should be submitted in writing online. An ALLOWANCE (Contingency), of $40,000.00 will be added as a separate line item as indicated on the Proposal Form Pages. This ALLOWANCE (Contingency), shall be set aside to pay for items that are unforeseen or for additional work that is not included in the drawings or specifications. Should such an occurrence happen, the contractor must submit a written proposal for the work to be performed. Before any work is done under the ALLOWANCE (Contingency) category, it must be approved by the Director of Atlantic County Facilities Management, or his designee. There will be no payment for any work performed without this prior written approval. All work time is exclusive of Weekends & Holidays. All work to begin within 14 days from Notice to Proceed. This project must be completed within the approved construction schedule. The project substantial completion date is Sixty (60) Calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The Project Final Completion date is Seventy-four (74) Calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for work not completed within the approved schedule will be in the amount of $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) per consecutive calendar day thereafter. If a bid security is required with the bid, the bidder must upload a copy of the certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the County of Atlantic. The original document must be received by the County of Atlantic Purchasing Office no later than 5 business days after the close of bids. Each Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the County of Atlantic. See sample Bid Bond. If a Bid Bond is submitted, it shall include a completed and current Power of Attorney, a current Certificate of Authority and a current Surety Financial Disclosure that comply with the laws and rules of New Jersey, issued by a firm authorized to transact such business in New Jersey. All Bid Security, except the Bid Security of the three (3) apparent lowest responsible Bidders, shall be returned within ten (10) days after the opening of the bids, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the bids of such Bidders shall be considered withdrawn. After the awarding and signing of the Contract and the approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond, the Bid Security of the remaining unsuccessful Bidders shall be returned within three days, Sundays and holidays excepted. If the successful Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Agreement and furnish the required Performance Bond within ten (10) days of the Notice of Award, the check or bond of the successful bidder shall be forfeited as liquidated damages and the County may annul the Notice of Award. AIA Bid Bond forms are not acceptable. Terms which limit recovery to the difference between the lowest bid and the second lowest bid are not acceptable. Failure to submit a bid guarantee as specified herein shall result in rejection of the bid. The Bidder that is awarded a contract shall, simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a duly authorized surety company authorized to issue performance bonds in the State of New Jersey
