A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** All bids must be made on the basis of and either meet or exceed the requirements contained herein. The provision, construction and installation of the playground components shall be based on and meeting the following: Contractors shall provide and install playground equipment at Greenbriar Childrens Center. For this property, the County is looking for the design of two (2) playgrounds. Playground #1 is intended for infants and toddlers; up to two (2) years of age. Goals established for this project are 30% combined MBE/WBE unless otherwise specified. All work shall be completed by February 1, 2026.Annual Contract (with renewal options for four (4) additional one (1) year terms All bids must be made on the basis of and either meet or exceed the requirements contained herein. The provision, construction and installation of the playground components shall be based on and meeting the following: Contractors shall provide and install playground equipment at Greenbriar Children's Center. For this property, the County is looking for the design of two (2) playgrounds. Playground #1 is intended for infants and toddlers; up to two (2) years of age. Playground #2 is intended for children between three (3) and twelve (12) years of age. Both playground designs and installed materials should comply with all childcare licensing standards as imposed by GA Department of Early Care and Learning as well as meet ADA accessibility requirements. The design should be environmentally friendly with 95% post-consumer recycled materials. Low-carbon aluminum post. Decks in playground structures should be made from 75% post-consumer recycled waste. If ropes are included in the plan, they should be designed for optimal strength, abrasion resistance and all-weather durability. It is expected that the ropes would be wrapped with >95% post-consumer recycled material. Contractors shall also be responsible for removal and disposal of existing playground equipment/materials. Contractors shall meet manufacturer's specifications and industry standards for installation. Surfacing shall be synthetic turf meeting the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) requirements for Critical Fall Height Safety Standards and accessibility from the ADA. Systems shall meet National Playground Standards as referenced in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) document F1487-95 Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Safety. Evidence of compliance shall be submitted and stamped on the equipment as required. All equipment/materials/parts described below are the basis for the playground equipment of this project and the contractor shall provide equipment that is equivalent or better. Playground #1: Intended for infants and toddlers; up to two (2) years of age. PCM001821-0601 - Playhouse with Outside Desk (5'1" L x 4'11" W x 6'1" H) Material Characteristics To ensure integrity and durability and to be optimally suited for severe use, the weather elements and unwanted abuse in the outdoors, the product must meet the following requirements: o Panels of 19mm EcoCore(TM) HDPE with outer layers of virgin HDPE and a core produced from 100% recycled post-consumer material from food packing waste. o Greenline panels in dark teal color of 19mm EcoCore(TM) HDPE with both outer layers and core produced from 100% recycled post-consumer material from food packing waste. o Main steel posts with a diameter of 101,6mm and wall thickness 2mm made of steel S235 with a pre-galvanized inside and outside base layer and outside with powder coated top finish. o Main wood posts with a diameter of 100mm and pressure impregnated with Tanalith E3492 class AB and class 4 according to EN335. o Main aluminum posts of extruded low carbon aluminum with diameter of 102,3mm and wall thickness 3,8mm color anodized top finish. o GreenLine TexMade TM post with a diameter of O100mm made of 100% post-consumer recycled textile and PE waste. o Steel anchoring for main posts with a hot dip galvanized treatment. o Steel parts with a hot dip galvanized surface treatment according to ISO1461 with a lead content below 90ppm for surfaces and for base material below 10ppm. o Bolts, nuts optionally with Delta-Magni surface treatment. M23070-3418P - Garden Table (4'2" L x 5'1" W x 1'9" H) Material Characteristics: Metal All metal parts are dimensioned for heavy-duty, industrial application. Types of metal used are steel, stainless steel and brass. All joints above the ground are screws or bolted joints. Surface treatment - To protect steel parts against corrosion, they are all subjected to one of the following basic treatments: o Hot-dip galvanizing (all fabrication prior to galvanization). o Delta-Magni treatment o Electro-coating of paint (EC-painting) o Wet painting after EC-painting o Powder coating Slide beds - Slide beds are available in stainless steel. All edges are folded and are thus inaccessible. Swing components - Swing suspensions are made of polyamide and consist of double ball bearing system with swivel. Crossbar of hot-dip galvanized steel. Seats are fastened with a small-link, stainless steel chain according to DIN 766B, or with a rope. MSC542701-3418P - Toddlers Town Slide (8'0" L x 2'0" W x 4'7" H) Material Characteristics: Metal All metal parts are dimensioned for heavy-duty, industrial application. Types of metal used are steel, stainless steel and brass. All joints above the ground are screws or bolted joints. Surface treatment - To protect steel parts against corrosion, they are all subjected to one of the following basic treatments: o Hot-dip galvanizing (all fabrication prior to galvanization). o Delta-Magni treatment o Electro-coating of paint (EC-painting) o Wet painting after EC-painting o Powder coating Springs - Springs are made of steel qualities that meet DIN 17221. The springs are subjected to shot peening to prevent crack formation and fatigue fracture. Spring durability and expected life in use are tested on a sampling basis to ascertain that the spring will function after more than 5 years of normal use. Springs are fitted with patented anti-pinch clamps of cast nylon or specially developed spring fittings. Slide beds - Slide beds are available in stainless steel. All edges are folded and are thus inaccessible. Swing components - Swing suspensions are made of polyamide and consist of double ball bearing system with swivel. Crossbar of hot-dip galvanized steel. Seats are fastened with a small-link, stainless steel chain according to DIN 766B, or with a rope. Replacement parts books and installation instructions shall be supplied for all playground components. TOTAL TURF AREA: 2856 SF
