The site was developed with an existing 3 buildings and a paved driveway; the remaining area of the site is flat and partially covered with grass. The subsurface soil was silty sand materials at the time of the drilling operation. Mound Creek lies near the east of the site. Mitchell Bay and Scott Bay (Houston Ship Channel) lie to the west and northwest of the site, respectively.
