Project consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary to [Destructive testing project to investigate existing site conditions to determine necessary design details for finalizing the project design documents]. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor's license required for this work: Class B, General Building Contractor with Asbestos Certification or Sub-Contractor with Asbestos Certification performing the work. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. When the bid price is greater than $25,000, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The Bidder's Base Bid and each alternate shall include a ten percent (10%) allowance for unforeseen items. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. The Contract Time and Milestone Schedule are extended as follows: o Notice To Proceed (NTP): 08/4/2025 o Phase O: 08/5/2025 - 08/8/2025 o Phase 1: 08/11/2025 - 08/14/2025 o Beneficial Occupancy: August 14, 2025 o Final Completion: August 15, 2025 11 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. One (1) calendar day from the end of the last phase.
