The Base Bid portion of the project will consist of the total reconstruction of the existing sidewalk section on Main Avenue in the downtown area of the City of Ashtabula. The limits of the project will be on Main Avenue from Collins Boulevard to W. 44 th Street. These improvements will enhance the area by creating safe and aesthetically appealing access for pedestrians. The existing degraded sidewalk will be replaced with new concrete walk and curb. As part of the project, there will be three Alternates. Alternate A includes the installation of 4" unclassified pipe underdrains, Alternate B includes the installation of light pole foundations, and Alternate C includes the full replacement of the existing street lights within the project limits.
