Garage Elevator at Chester/maple $2,000.00 Garage Modernization (North Elevators) Work Includes Furnishing All Materials (Except Those Furnished Under Any Other Contracts Noted Hereinafter) and Doing All Labor and Work Necessary to Complete Said Work. Questions and Request for Information (Rfi) Must Be in Writing and May Be Addressed to the Commissioner of Public Works via Email to Kenneth Pasqualini, Contract Clerk (Kpasqualini@whiteplainsny.gov) by 5:00 P.m. On August 13th, 2025. The City Will Not Entertain Any More Questions After This Deadline. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Security in the Form of a Certified Check or Equivalent Bank Draft Payable to the Order of the City of White Plains in the Amount Specified Hereinafter. No Bid Shall Be Received or Considered After the Time Stated Hereinafter. The City of White Plains Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities in the Bids or to Reject Any or All Bids. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid Within 45 Days After the Date Bids Are Publicly Opened. A. Work will be performed at locations within parking structures as shown on Drawings. B. Specifications and details shall govern all repair operations. Locations where Work Items apply are shown on Drawings. C. Payment shall be made on basis of actual approved Work performed as measured in place. This project comprises the modernization of the two elevators in the north elevator bank of the Trans Center Garage. The intent of this project is to modernize the elevators by completely removing and replacing the following items: - Elevator Motors - Controllers -Guiderails - Brakes - Roller Guides - Clean and Paint Hoistway Doors - Car Doors - Door Operators - Car ceiling and lighting - Car Flooring -Travelling Cables - Control Panels - Security Cameras and supporting cables and servers - Doors to the machine rooms shall be cleaned and painted - Elevator Door Frames shall be cleaned and painted - Replace car wall panels with stainless steel wall panels The contractor is responsible for inspecting the elevator hoistway, car frame, and machine room and providing any materials or work incidental to facilitating the proper installation and functioning of the above enumerated items. This work may include, but is not limited to, replacement or repair of: - Hoist Beam - Divider beams The scope of work includes the complete modernization of 2 hydraulic elevators, the mechanical room, and the elevator pit. All elevator equipment shall be removed and replaced unless otherwise noted. Work in the machine room and elevator pit shall include the complete removal of all elevator and electrical equipment and devices, including but not limited to all conduit, switches, receptacles, hydraulic piping, pumps, motors, controllers, panels, fire alarm components, etc. The contractor shall replace all of the preceding with new to comply with all applicable codes and regulations. Contractor shall paint mechanical room using approved waterproof paint for walls and ceilings, and approved epoxy coating for the floors and stairs. An exhaust fan and louver activated by the machine room smoke detector shall be provided and installed. Lighting in the machine rooms and hoistway is to be removed and replaced with LED lighting. Existing fire and smoke detectors in the lobbies and machine rooms are to be replaced with new building standard devices.
