The Province, on behalf of NLSchools, is inviting tender bids for cutting and patching pavement repairs for the following schools located in the Western Region: 1.1 Stephenville and surrounding area schools: a. Stephenville Elementary, 76 West Street, Stephenville, NL; Approximately 100 square feet b. Stephenville Primary, 72 West Street, Stephenville, NL; Approximately 135 square feet c. Stephenville Middle School, 40 Queen Street, Stephenville, NL; Approximately 45 square feet d. Stephenville High School, 1 Bruce Boulevard, Stephenville, NL; Approximately 500 square feet e. Pathfinders Alt. School, 31-37 Gallant Street, Stephenville, NL; Approximately 185 square feet f. Our Lady of the Cape, 875 Oceanview Dr, Cape St George, NL; Approximately 1500 square feet. 1.2 Corner Brook and surrounding area schools: a. St James All Grade, 148 Main Road, Lark Hr., NL; Approximately 375 square feet. b. St Peter's Academy, 441 Main Road, Benoit's Cove, NL; Approximately 1700 square feet. c. Eastside Elementary, 14 St John Ave., Corner Brook, NL; Approximately 5000 square feet. d. CC Loughlin Elementary, 1 Citadel Drive, Corner Brook, NL; Approximately 1000 square feet. e. Corner Brook Regional High, 12 University Drive, Corner Brook, NL; Approximately 3700 square feet. 2. Areas of work are marked accordingly at each site with spray paint. If the paint has faded or other areas are deemed in need of repair, please notify the Administrator for this solicitation through the MERX E-procurement system prior to the deadline for questions and/or requests for clarification. 3. Areas being removed are to be saw cut and/or ground out as required. 4. Remove all sectioned-out asphalt and debris from site (no stock piling). 5. Supply, place and compact Class A road gravel as required. 6. Apply a tack coat to edge of existing to remaining asphalt where joining new asphalt. 7. Supply, place, and compact new hot asphalt and tie into existing remaining asphalt. 8. New asphalt compacted thickness to be a minimum of 50mm. 9. All work, traffic control measures, and construction signage must be provided in accordance with the municipality/authority having jurisdiction. Upon request, the successful contractor is to provide a Site-Specific Safety Plan prior to mobilization. Such documentation must be submitted to NLSchools within three (3) business days of request. 10. Vendors are responsible for verifying the location(s) and dimensions of the areas to be repaired on site. If any discrepancies occur between the measurements listed in this document, and the measurements taken by the contractor, the contractor is to contact NLSchools (via Merx) before proceeding with the calculation of their bid. All work related to this contract must be completed by August 22, 2025. Award will be made by purchase order.
