This project is located in Collier County, 2 miles south of Oil Well Road, approximately 1 miles east of Desoto Blvd N, and stretches between 18th Ave N and Golden Gate Blvd to the south. It is being constructed by the BCSD to provide infrastructure for the Town of Big Cypress and the future Bellmar subdivision. It involves approximately 12,000 LF of 16 Water Main, 12 Irrigation Main, and 6 & 12 Force Main along with appx 4 miles of roadways of various cross-sections. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria included in the Project Manual. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, make modifications to the work, award the contract in whole or in part with or without cause, provide for the delivery of the project in phases, and waive minor or technical irregularities in any Proposal, as it deems appropriate, if it determines in its discretion that it is in the Districts best interests to do so. Any protest of the Project Manual, including the terms and specifications, must be filed with the District within 72 hours of pickup of the Project Manual, together with a protest bond in a form acceptable to the District and in the amount of $30,000.00. In the event the protest is successful, the protest bond shall be refunded to the protestor. In the event the protest is unsuccessful, the protest bond shall be applied towards the Districts costs, expenses and attorneys fees associated with hearing and defending the protest. Failure to timely file a protest will result in a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, and other law. Proposers are hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the District may not request documentation of or consider a Proposers social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the Proposer is a responsible vendor. Proposals shall be in the form provided in the Project Manual and submitted to the email provided above. The District reserves the right to reject any proposals received after the time and date stipulated above. Each proposal shall remain binding for a minimum of one hundred and twenty (180) days after the proposal opening.
