Sewer System Improvements - Force Main Crossings of I-40 at Hwy 127 & Genesis Rd For more information please see attached. Separate sealed Bids for the construction of Sewer System Improvements of 8" force mains going under Interstate 40 (using horizontal directional boring) adjacent to HWY 127 and in the Genesis Road area to serve growth occurring north of I-40. This project will also construct a new 6" force main from the east side of Genesis Road following Crabtree Road to a location just west of Park Lane, together with all related work as specified. The allotted time for construction is 240 calendar days. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. All bidders must be licensed General Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and be qualified for the type of construction being bid upon. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided by the Bidder. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be provided and submitted. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bonds in the amount of his bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids.
