Fulton County Schools (FCS) invites bids for furnishing any and all goods and/or services required for Gym/Auditorium Stage Floor Refinishing, Replacement, and Repair. Only questions received prior to 4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 will be considered. Fulton County Schools (FCS) seeks a qualified Contractor to provide services for refinishing, repairs, and replacement for gym floors and auditorium stages throughout Fulton County Schools District. All work must meet FCS Specifications. SPECIFICATIONS The contractor shall: o Perform drum sanding and refinishing of the existing gym floors. o Paint and repaint of game lines and logos as needed with approval. o Clean and remove the dust that is created from the project. o Perform repairs and/or replacement of floor, not limited to warping, bowing all dead spots in floor that occur from water, humidity, and wear and tear. o All work is to be scheduled and approved by FCS to ensure there is no disturbance to school. This includes work performed, containment of particles to Gym area, and Volatile Organic Compound fumes from any materials used. o External filters are to be used to cover all Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning return ventilation ducts to prevent entry of particulates into the ductwork. If ductwork or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning evaporator coils are clogged from the work performed, it will be up to the contractor performing work to service and clean by a licensed and insured contractor that meets FCS guidelines. o If any equipment is needed to perform drying, venting or dehumidification it is up to the contractor to provide these materials and equipment. All floors are to be prepped and clean of debris, chemicals, cleaners and any foreign materials that will cause uneven finish, fisheye, peeling, are separation of finish-to-finish bonding to base coat. If there is a separation of finished coats it is the contractor's responsibility to make the necessary repairs. Note: High school gym flooring shall be wood strip athletic flooring systems with 2-layers of continuous plywood underlayment with 3/4 " 60 durometer pads, and Maple Flooring Manufactures Association-certified northern hard maple finish strip flooring. Basis of Design: Robbins Bio-Cushion Classic System or approved equal. Approved Equals: Conner Flooring, Horner Floors, Action Flooring. Minimum Floor Thickness: 25/32" Court Markings-Basketball, volleyball, side court basketball, center coat logo graphic and floor lettering under each basket. Volleyball Supports: Provide recessed supports for volleyball nets at a location directed by the district. Floor Covering: Provide floor covering tarp and tarp rollup and storage device to go over wood floor for gym events. Floor Finishing-Provide one coat of oil-based seal coating directly over floor painting graphics. Apply two (2) oil-based topcoats.
