The proposed two-story renovation and expansion will support the mission of the college, serve students more effectively by updating existing academic classrooms and laboratories, creating the Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Manufacturing and the Center for Film and Media Production, and expanding One Stop services. The Centers will be sites for curriculum development, rigorous career and academic preparation, and innovative practices, with a focus on apprenticeships, in the following areas: o Artificial Intelligence o Advanced Manufacturing o Cyber Security o Film and Video Technologies o Media and Graphic Design Production o Post-production Media Technologies o Music Production Technologies THE ONE-STOP The development of the ATC One Stop is one of Atlanta Technical College's key strategies to improve student retention and graduation rates. Through our "Students First" initiative, the One- Stop for student services will mitigate the "maze" of academia and serve as a single point of contact in a two-story location for student customer services previously provided at the Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Success Center, Student Advisement, Learning Services (Tutoring) Center, and Campus Store. The ATC One-Stop will also house Student Support Services, the Veterans Center, counseling services, toiletry, and food pantries. The ATC One-Stop will also house a small snack bar and market--a necessity in the food desert of the surrounding area. Project Delivery Method: The delivery method for this Project will be construction manager at-risk (CM/GC), and, at a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional and a Commissioning Agent, in addition to the services of a CM/GC.
