Scope of Work - LAP Project. FPID:451524-1-58-01 FDOT FAIN: D324-034B This Scope of Work for this project is to construct a complete facility per the design professional's plans and specifications. The County's intent is to construct a new 19,940 square foot modern transportation management center on behalf of the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (FL-AL TPO) on a site adjacent to the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This new facility will encompass a 4.23 acre site located at 6575 North W Street, Pensacola, FL. Site development includes selective clearing of trees, site grading, construction of drainage structures including retention area, all utilities, paved parking areas and roadways, sidewalks, and other miscellaneous site structures. The building's systems will include HVAC, fire suppression, power, emergency power backup systems, security, CCTV, and fire detection systems, all advanced Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology, and office components required for a fully functioning, and associated system and components to provide a turn-key traffic management center. A. Extent of motor controller work is indicated by drawings and schedules. Types of motor controllers specified in this section include the following: 1. Variable Frequency Drives. This section describes the design, performance and installation of an air purification system intended for use as part of another manufacturer's air handling unit or mounted on the duct as shown on the plans, details and equipment schedules. A. Extent of electrical wire and cable work is indicated by drawings and schedules. B. Types of electrical wire, cable, and connectors specified in this section includes the following: 1. Building wires and cables rated 600 V and less. 2. Connectors, splices, and terminations rated 600 V and less. 3. Copper conductors. 4. Fixture wires. 5. Flexible cords and cables. 6. Wirenut connectors. C. Applications of electrical wire, cable, and connectors required for project are as follows: 1. For motor-branch circuits. 2. For power distribution circuits 3. For lighting circuits 4. For appliance and equipment circuits A. Extent of grounding work is indicated by drawings and schedules. A ground ring shall be provided around the building and bonded to the service entrance grounding electrode system and building lightning protection system. B. Types of grounding specified in this section include the following: 1. Solid grounding C. Applications of grounding work in this section including the following: 1. Underground metal water piping 2. Metal building frames 3. Grounding electrodes 4. Grounding rods 5. Service equipment 6. Enclosures 7. Equipment A. Extent of supports, anchors, sleeves, and seals is indicated by drawings and schedules and/or specified in other Division-16 sections. B. Types of supports, anchors, sleeves, and seals specified in this section include the following: 1. Clevis hangers 2. C-clamps 3. I-beam clamps 4. One-hole conduit straps 5. Round steel rods 6. Lead expansion anchors 7. Toggle bolts 8. Wall and floor seals C. Supports, anchors, sleeves, and seals furnished as part of factory-fabricated equipment, are specified as part of that equipment assembly in other Division-26 sections. A. Extent of raceway work is indicated by drawings and schedules. Types of raceways specified in this section include the following: 1. Electrical metallic tubing (EMT). 2. Liquid tight flexible metal conduit. 3. Rigid metal conduit. 4. Flexible metal conduit. 5. Rigid non-metallic conduit. Contractor agrees to furnish and pay for all management, supervision, financing, labor, materials, tools, fuel, supplies, utilities, equipment and services of every kind and type necessary to diligently, timely, and fully perform and complete in a good workmanlike manner the Work required by the Contract Documents. 1. Review and verify the installation of all docking station components and verify the correct electrical flow as depicted on the one-line drawings. 2. The Manufacturer's authorized technician will set the long time, short time, instantaneous and ground fault protection settings on the Generator Docking Station circuit breaker(s) in accordance with the engineer's specifications or as provided as part of the coordination study. 3. Factory training for on-site personnel to educate them on how to connect the GDS to a portable generator 4. The Manufacturer's factory authorized technician shall, upon completion of the commissioning provide a written report to the electrical contractor and electrical engineer indicating the completion of the work. 5. Any issue that is found during the start-up that is determined at that time to be a warranty issue will be covered by Manufacturer. Any issues that are specific to the scope for the electrical installing contractor are the sole responsibility of the installing contractor. 6. Upon successful completion of the commissioning, provide a complimentary 12- month warranty extension, above and beyond the 12-month manufacturer warranty. A. Scope of Work: Provide labor and materials for the installation of a complete building lightning protection system with a UL Master Label. B. Types of lightning protection system material and components specified in this section include the following: 1. Air terminals. 2. Bonding plates. 3. Conductors. 4. Connectors. 5. Grounding rods. 6. Rod clamps. 7. Splicers. 8. Wire.
