Terminal 5 Landside Improvements and Repurposing (Stage II) O'Hare International Airport - Phase 1 consists of a multilevel expansion north of the current Terminal 5 (T5) headhouse along the curb side of the upper-level roadway, as well as a new pedestrian bridge to connect the headhouse to the parking garage over the terminal roadways. The project provides approximately 41,000 SF of new building area, and includes a pedestrian bridge and a new mezzanine level with new elevators and escalators. The project's intent is to improve the passenger experience by expanding the landside circulation space and improving passenger flow between T5 and the new parking garage. The Project will receive federal funding; therefore, FAA Build America Buy American Act preferences and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) commitments are included. Bid Package 01: Terminal 5 Landside Improvements and Repurposing (Stage II) O'Hare International Airport - Phase 1 includes: Trade Package 1 Demolition: This trade package includes selective demolition to the existing façade, building envelope, structure and related sitework. Trade Package 2 Curtainwall, Metal Panels, Louvers & Exterior Expansion Joints: This trade package includes curtainwall, metal panels, louvers, and exterior expansion joints. Trade Package 3 Conveying: This trade package includes manufacturing and installation of elevators and escalators. Trade Package 4 Fire Protection: This trade package includes selective demolition, tie-ins to existing, and the furnishing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the fire protection system. Trade Package 5 Plumbing: This trade package includes selective demolition, tie-ins to existing, the furnishing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the plumbing system. Trade Package 6 HVAC & Integrated Automation: This trade package includes selective demolition, tie-ins to existing, the furnishing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the HVAC and controls systems. Trade Package 7 Electrical, Communications & Security: This trade package includes selective demolition, tie-ins to existing, the furnishing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the electrical, communications, security, and FIDs/BIDs systems. Trade Package 8 Temporary Walls: This trade package includes temporary walls for the performance of the demolition and new work. Trade Package 9 Maintenance of Traffic: This trade package includes maintenance of traffic, fencing and road signage around the project work area. Trade Package 10 General Trades: This trade package includes Overhead Doors, Special Doors, Façade Access Equipment, Resilient Base, Asphalt Paving, Recessed Walk-off grates, Horizontal Expansion Joints, and Elevator Sill Grouting. Trade Package 11 Micropiles: This trade package includes micropiles for the project. Trade Package 12 Excavation & Site Utilities: This trade package includes excavation and site utility work in and around the project work area Trade Package 13 Concrete: This trade package includes construction of site concrete, structural concrete (including post-tensioned elements), waterproofing, and joint sealants. Trade Package 14 Masonry: This trade package includes new masonry work for the project. Trade Package 15 Structural Steel: This trade package includes new structural steel for the project. Trade Package 16 Miscellaneous Metals: This trade package includes miscellaneous metals and bumper rails for the project. Trade Package 17 Roofing: This trade package includes new roofing for the project. Trade Package 18 Signage: This trade package includes wayfinding and room signage. Trade Package 19 Rough Carpentry Doors, Frames & Hardware, Miscellaneous Accessories and Fire Extinguishers: This trade package includes rough carpentry doors, frames & hardware, miscellaneous accessories and fire extinguishers for the project. Trade Package 20 EIFS, Drywall, Cold Formed Framing, GFRG & Ceilings: This trade package includes EIFS, drywall, cold formed framing, GFRG, and ceilings. Trade Package 21 Millwork: This trade package includes millwork including phenolic and metal wall panels and metal wall base. Trade Package 22 Fireproofing & Spray Insulation: This trade package includes spray fireproofing and spray insulation. Trade Package 23 Interior Glazing: This trade package includes glass handrails, smoke guards and miscellaneous interior glazing. Trade Package 24 Terrazzo & Flooring: This trade package includes terrazzo and miscellaneous flooring work. Trade Package 25 Painting: This trade package includes painting and intumescent finishes.
