The City of Maquoketa is requesting proposals for engineering services to assist with a utility replacement and street reconstruction project in the City of Maquoketa. The subject area is highly residential and the selected firm can expect work in dense residential zones. The project is funded solely by local resources through City bond authorization. This is already completed by the City Council of the City of Maquoketa. The project, inclusive of all engineering, consultant, inspection, and construction fees, shall not exceed at $2.4M budget. The City expects to resolve multiple infrastructure objectives in this project and may seek to scale up an additional street block if budget allows. In May 2025, the City requested and paid for assistance from WHKS to scope and gather preliminary data for the production of this RFQ for the benefit of all interested firms. This is in no way a signal of the City's intent to pre-determine a firm selection. All data has been shared on the following pages as a foundational tool to best gather proposals from qualified firms.
