This bid package is for enabling demolition and utility work for the renovation and addition to the Maquoketa Community School District Briggs Elementary School. The project entails the construction of a 46,000-square-foot addition to accommodate new preschool, kindergarten, first-grade, and special education classrooms. The addition will also feature administrative offices, restrooms, a gymnasium, and various support spaces to enhance functionality and accessibility. In tandem, the project includes a renovation of the existing to remain 31,000-square-foot building. This scope includes second, third, and fourth-grade classrooms, a commercial kitchen and equipment, a multi-purpose room, a media center, and upgraded staff support areas. Also, included is associated site work to improve student drop-off zones, new sidewalks, and landscaping.
