Project is furnishing the following: (12) HP10x42x25 ft piling, (12) HP10x42x30 ft piling, (24) HP10x42x40 ft piling, (4) HP12x53x30 ft piling, (200) C5x9 steel channel 7-inch lengths, (205) C5x9 steel channel 6-inch lengths, (10,957) pounds reinforcing steel, and freight. All material shall conform to the Iowa DOT Standard Specification Section 4167, 4151, and 4152. The material is to be delivered to 509 East Grove Street, Maquoketa, Iowa. A Certified check made payable to the County, a Cashier's check made payable to the County, drawn upon a solvent bank, an irrevocable letter of credit by a solvent bank, or a bid bond, shall be filed with each proposal (in a separate envelope) in an amount as set forth in the Proposal Form. Failure to execute a contract and file an acceptable bond and Certificate of Insurance within 30 days of the date of the approval for awarding of the contract, as herein provided, will be just and sufficient cause for the denial of the award and the forfeiture of the proposal guaranty. As a condition precedent to being furnished a proposal form, a prospective bidder must be qualified and have previous work experience on bridge projects as a contractor supplying steel and materials in order to bid on this project Total Proposal Guaranty is 10% of Bid Amount; Delivery Date: After June 15, 2025 and before September 1, 2025; $50/Day Liquidated Damages. All proposals must be filed on the forms furnished by the County, sealed and plainly marked. Proposals containing any reservations not provided for in the forms furnished may be rejected, and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids.
