Site work and paving for a road / highway in Aurora, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Resurfacing of Kautz Road, Ellington Drive, and Keating Drive utilizing Surface Transportation Program (STP ) federal funds administered through the Kane-Kendall Council of Mayors. The project is anticipating utilizing regionwide redistribution funds with federal participation at 80% of construction and construction engineering costs. The Illinois Department of Transportation will front-fund the cost of construction and invoice the city for its share. The city will be required to front-fund construction engineering. Phase I and II will be completed in-house by engineering staff with drafting assistance potentially being provided by a consultant. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027. As of July 23, 2025, The project is include in the City's 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
