Gateway Monument and District Signage The purpose of this bid is to seek a qualified, experienced contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials necessary to install gateway monument and district signage to give a sense of arrival to the city, downtown, and special district. The work consists of fabrication, engineering, and installation of signage for the City of Stuart. There are four horizontal monument signs, and two vertical signs, all located within the City right of way. Limited Permitting is required. The work consists of, in general, the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, and performing all operations to fabricate, permit, engineer, and construct the proposed signage system within the City of Stuart. The four new horizontal monument signs will be placed at gateways locations within the Stuart city limits. The two vertical signs will be placed at gateways and intersections leading to downtown and district locations. These strategically placed signs will inform visitors as they enter the city, downtown area, and different district in the city. All answers to inquiries will be posted online. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, without recourse, to waive technicalities or to accept the bid which in its sole judgment best serves the interest of the City. Cost of submittal of this bid is considered an operational cost of the bidder and shall not be passed on to or be borne by the City. It is hereby understood and mutually agreed by and between parties hereto that the time of completion is an essential condition of this contract. By submitting a proposal response, successful respondent agrees to start the work within ten (10) days of issuance of Notice to Proceed. All performance of the Contract Work shall be completed within two hundred seventy (270) calendar days of the date of issuance of the NTP. Commencement of the Contract Work by the Contractor shall be deemed a waiver of the NTP and shall constitute the date of commencement for the purpose of the completion deadline.
