Reference Number 0000393779 Dutchess Community College is seeking the professional services of a qualified architect for the design of the College's Master Plan Renovations. The plan calls for comprehensive renovations and alterations to three key academic buildings on campus; Hudson Hall, CBI (Center for Business and Industry) and Dutchess Hall. These facilities were prioritized because of their central academic roles and the urgent need to modernize classrooms, laboratories, and student support spaces to meet current educational standards. Renovations will address building code compliance, accessibility, and sustainability, while integrating instructional technologies and reconfigurable layouts to better accommodate collaborative and hybrid learning. The College completed a planning study focused on these buildings detailing the space needs of departments and programs and the key programming needs for the campus' proposed centers of excellence. This plan conceptually identifies the occupants of each building and the relocations needed to accommodate the renovations. The selected consultants shall use and build upon this study to develop the final designs of each space in consultation with the college departments, administration and stakeholders. See Attachment A for a copy of the planning study. It is anticipated that the renovations will be a multi-phase, multi-year project. Each phase needs to be strategically developed to enable the majority of the occupants to move to their permanent locations thereby reducing the amount of swing space needed. The selected architect shall provide services for each phase of the project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration where the phases may overlap or run concurrently.
