The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The purpose of this contract is to make periodic repairs and/or upgrades along city streets. This is an on call type contract, but the Citys expectation is that the Contractor will be working almost every week via task orders, weather permitting. Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes because the construction total spend will exceed $40,000 during the year. M/WBE subcontracting goals apply to this project and are 6% MBE and 4% WBE and must be met separately Technical questions concerning this bid should be submitted electronically to Darren Redfield at darrenmr@cityofws.org. End of Question period is 5:00 PM, August 5, 2025. The purpose of this conference is to summarize the scope of work involved and to explain the Citys Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) goals and program related to this project. Staff will be present to answer questions. Primes and subcontractors are encouraged to attend.
