Site work and renovation of a civil project in Andrews, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF: Installation of a new screening washer compactor; demolition of the existing trickling filters; construction of an oxidation ditch for biological treatment; replacement of mechanical sludge removal equipment, effluent weirs, and effluent baffles in the Southern secondary clarifier; modification and expansion of the existing sludge pump station to include returned activated sludge pumps; replacement of the existing 12-inch effluent pipe with a 24-inch effluent pipe; installation of a sludge dewatering facility and a covered sludge storage structure; replacement of the existing emergency generator with a new 400 kW emergency generator. Question Deadline 08/22/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered by either mail or approved electronic means to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A pre-Bid conference will not be held for this project. State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined) EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4%
