Town of Linden will be soliciting bids for WWTP Sludge Removal, located at 334 Buffalo River Heights Road, Linden, Tennessee. The WWTP Sludge Removal is a utility improvement project with several functions for the Linden, Tennessee community. The Project consists of the removal and dewatering of accumulated biosolids in Cell 1 and disposal of this material. This section shall consist of temporary control measures as shown in the Plans or directed by the Engineer during the life of the Contract to control erosion and pollution through the use of berms, dikes, dams, sediment basins, fiber mats, netting, mulches, grasses, slope drains, temporary silt fences, and other control devices A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of Town of Linden. Bids must be submitted with envelope label (provided in the bid documents) affixed to the front of the envelope. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. 4.01 Bidder agrees that the Work will be completed and ready for final payment within 150 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. 4.02 Bidder acceptsthe provisions of the Agreement asto liquidated damages: If Contractorshall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $500.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment.
