General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % A bid bond, certified check or bank check in the amount of 5% of bid must accompany the bid proposal. *The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities at its discretion, and to award contracts in a manner deemed to be in the best interests of the Village of Briarcliff Manor even if such award is to other than the lowest bidder. Completion- (75) consecutive calendar days The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary for the project as follows: 1. Section 698-Price Adjustments of the New York State Department of Transportation STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS Applies. This section will provide additional compensation to the Contractor for increases, or repayment by the Contractor for decreases, in the price of asphalt products. 2. The Contract will be based on a unit pricing and NYSDOT Standard Specifications. 3. It is anticipated that the asphalt will be laid with a 2-inch asphalt thickness after compaction, or as directed by the Village. 4. The Contractor will not be allowed to leave any materials on the roadway or right-ofway overnight. All work sites will be cleaned up at the end of each day. 5. All Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, MPT, will be performed by the Contractor. The Contractor shall cooperate with direction of flag persons or other Village personnel. 6. The Village's estimated quantities is included herein. The Village reserves the right to substitute, omit, or add to the list, in the best interest of the Village. This includes any additions and/or deletions to the estimated contract quantities. 7. It shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder to deliver to any location within the Village of Briarcliff Manor, Hot Bituminous Materials in the quantities as requested, to the job site at the temperature required under the item specifications. 8. A Performance and Maintenance Bond is required for this project as noted herein. 9. The Village will be retaining the services of a Testing Company to determine that the materials delivered to the job site and laid in place meet the required specifications. Testing for compaction, temperature, thickness and mix design will be performed.
