Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1. Purpose of proposal Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) is seeking qualified licensed professional contractors for the remove existing windows and installation of new hurricane impact windows, and the removal of existing hurricane shutters and shutter equipment at the Administrative Building 2. Project overview The purpose of this project is to remove and replace existing windows at Fort Pierce Utilities Authority's Administrative Building with new hurricane-impact-rated windows capable of withstanding wind speeds up to 170 mph or greater in accordance with the Florida Building Code (FBC 8th Edition, 2023). This facility falls within a Wind-Borne Debris Region (WBDR), and glazing shall comply with all impact and pressure requirements for a building of similar class. The structure is considered an Essential Facility, according to the FBC Table 1604.5 "Risk Category of Building and other Structures." 3. Granting agency special provision(s) This project is paid for by a state-funded Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program (HLMP) grant and thus contractors shall be subject granting agency provisions. Yes, a payment & performance Bond Contractor to supply appropriate equipment in order to count and measure windows located on the second floor of building. Contractors must bring with them to this meeting a copy of their General Liability and workers compensation insurance document in order to make measurements. Note: All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. Minority-owned, Woman-owned, and Small Business Enterprises Are Encouraged to Respond to This Solicitation. The Pre-Conference meeting shall take approximately 30 minutes to conclude. Contractors are then to proceed to inspect, count and measure all windows of the Administration Building.
