Renovation of a transportation facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The Contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, services, equipment, tools, and insurance to remove and replace the refrigerant monitor in the Chiller room B115 located in the basement of the Administration Wing of the Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZFW ARTCC) located at 13800 FAA Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76155. This will include procurement of a new refrigerant leak monitoring system, disconnection and disposal of the existing Chillgard RT refrigerant monitor, and installation of the most current version of an equivalent refrigerant leak monitor. The latest version from MSA is the Chillgard 5000 but contractor may submit an equivalent from other manufacturers for approval. The contractor will coordinate with ZFW Tech Ops for the shutdown of the electrical circuit feeding the existing refrigerant monitor and provide a lockout/tagout device. The circuit shall remain locked out throughout the duration of the replacement process. The contractor will disconnect the incoming power and sensor feeds at the existing monitor and disconnect the three incoming conduits from the monitor enclosure. The contractor will evaluate and determine if any adaptors or fittings will be required to attach to the new monitor enclosure and, if so, will provide these fittings, adaptors, or other hardware as an incidental cost to the project. Upon removal of the unit, contractor will coordinate with FAA Tech Ops if it is to be turned over. If not turned over to the FAA it is to be disposed of by the contractor. The contractor will mount the new monitor and connect the existing power and sensor wires. After all connections are made the contractor will remove the lockout/tagout device, power-up the monitor, and perform calibration and testing per the manufacturer's specifications. A contractor site walk-through is suggested prior to proposal preparation. Additions and deletions from this scope of work can be made based upon data gathered during the site walk through upon FAA approval. Advise that the ARTCC will remain operational 24/7 during all project work. The work performed will not impact AT operations as construction activity will be coordinated via a pre-construction meeting, either in person or virtual, which is to be conducted a minimum of two weeks prior to the scheduled start of construction. At the time of the pre-construction meeting a complete construction schedule is to be submitted.
