The City of Raytown is seeking proposals from qualified design teams for the design of a new water feature/fountain to be installed in front of Raytown City Hall. This project will replace the existing non-functional fountain, of which only the brick vault is remaining and intended to be re-used. The new fountain shall be designed for a maximum budget of $50,000 with the intent of construction cost estimates to be no more than $150,000. The selected designer will be responsible for: o Designing a new water feature that incorporates or enhances the aesthetic appeal of the median in front of City Hall. This will include design plans, specifications, and bidding documents for the City of Raytown to solicit the design for construction. o Reusing the existing underground vault, but with new control valves, filter, and control panel. Dimensions of existing vault included in Attachment 2. o Utilizing the available 3/4-inch water supply line and 120V power source in the current vault. Reuse of the existing water meter and backflow valve are expected. o The designed water feature must be able to be constructed in under $150,000.
