Reference Number 0000299069 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/08/11 05:00:00 PM EDT The Facilities Management Department at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is seeking a qualified contractor for the replacement and construction of seven new vestibules at the Andrews Building, specifically within the Science and Humanities Wings. The project scope includes the demolition of existing vestibules and construction of approximately 1,000 square feet of new vestibule space, incorporating updated electrical and mechanical systems to meet current standards. The Scope of Work (SOW) highlights are to be read in conjunction with the Issued for Tender Drawings and Specifications. Work includes the demolition and removal of seven existing vestibules, as well as the demolition and replacement of four interior stairwell doors on the third floor of the Science Wing. Associated mechanical and electrical components will also be removed as necessary. New vestibule construction will involve the installation of door framing, glazing systems, new ceilings, flooring, upgraded lighting, and architectural finishes. Select vestibules will receive new Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units. Electrical work will include power connections and lighting installation. The purpose of this work is to improve the thermal performance of the building envelope and support carbon reduction goals. The total work area is approximately 1,000 square feet.
