The City of Abbeville is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to supply Electrical Distribution Engineering Services for the City's Electrical Grid. 1.2. The City of Abbeville electric system serves customers within the city limits of Abbeville, in limited areas around the City, some rural areas around Lake Secession and Lake Russell, and the Town of Lowndesville. 1.3. The City has 8 substations and approximately 175 miles of distribution lines. 1.4. System voltage is 2,400/4, 160 volts with some 7,200 volt single phase lines. 1.5. The City provides electricity to approximately 3,400 customers. 1.6. Please read all requirements of this request carefully. Prospective firms shall submit all questions and requests for clarification of this RFQ to Mike Clary, Deputy Administrative Officer, via email at mclary@abbevillecitysc.com. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. No questions may be directed to or contacts made with any other person not identified in this RFQ during the period of time this RFQ is made public until the final selection is made, except as otherwise provided herein. Deadline for submission of questions August 21st, 2025. Details of the project will be decided through meetings with the selected firm and City and may include but are not limited to distribution engineering, substation engineering, and planning studies. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
