Elevated Storage Tank Recoating. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The purpose of this project is to clean and recoat the outside of the Salisbury University elevated storage tank. Full rust removal and spot primer repairs may be required for poor condition areas of the tank. A new Salisbury University logo is to be installed. The new logo must match the existing logo in all aspects of its current placement (size, color, orientation, and placement). Through an MOU between the City and Salisbury University, Salisbury University will pay the successful bidder directly for the cost of the logo reapplication (MOU Attached). In addition to the work described, the ductile iron overflow pipe at the base of the tank shall also be recoated. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Prepare job site, store materials, and notify City of the upcoming work. 2. Perform power washing of the existing coating on the outside of the elevated storage tank and overflow pipe including the concrete support column. The support pillar will not be coated, only the water tank from the base of the bowl up will be coated. 3. Perform spot repair rust removal and spot primer to deteriorated and rusted areas. 4. Recoat the outside of the elevated storage tank and overflow pipe. 5. Furnish and install new SALISBURY UNIVERSITY logo in kind to the existing logo. Layout, font, color, sizing and placement orientation must match existing. 6. Provide project site clean-up and project closeout.
