Renovation of a municipal facility in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities as may be deemed best in the best interest of the City of Union City as may be permitted by law. The Board of Commissioners also reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5- 31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Any questions regarding these bid specifications, or the requested services should be referred to the City Clerk. All formal requests are to be made in writing. To be considered, questions must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date scheduled for the receipt of bids The intent of this proposal is for the City of Union City ("City" or 'Owner") to award a contract for BOILER repairs on a time and materials basis ("BOILER Services"). The City reserves the right to award a contract (if awarded) for a period of up to three (3) years. If a multi-year agreement is awarded, each year after the first year shall be subject to the appropriation, annually, of sufficient funds by the City to meet its extended obligation. The contract may be extended for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any extension shall be in accordance with applicable law. There is no minimum amount of work guaranteed by the City to the successful bidder. By submitting a bid, bidders acknowledge that the City is not obligated to authorize any work under the awarded contract. The successful bidders shall provide the BOILER Services if and when directed by the City and at the locations required by the City. There is no minimum work amount guaranteed by an award of contract. Bidders must possess all licenses, certifications and/or authorizations necessary to perform BOILER repairs for public entities in New Jersey.
