Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of sidewalk repairs at various locations in Union City. More specifically, work shall include the removal of existing curb and sidewalk, construction and installation of new concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and concrete driveways, at various locations. The Contractor shall commence performance of the work and, subject to authorized adjustments, achieve substantial completion within (30) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The restoration locations are to be provided by Union City, or their representative, as work is completed in connection with previously issued Union City Building Department Sidewalk Opening Permits. The required restoration work must be completed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed for the designated location. The City Engineering or Building Departments will specify, and field designate, as necessary, the area of sidewalk and/or concrete curbing to be replaced. Union City Engineering or Building Department staff will be available to meet with the contractor, at the specified location, to discuss the details of the construction to be performed. The required restoration work must be completed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed for the designated location.
