Based on the information provided by the Client, we understand that the project will consist of the design and construction of a 2.0 million gallon (MG) elevated storage tank, two 1.0 MG ground storage tanks, and a pump station building near the existing grade. Based on the information provided by the client, we understand that the proposed ground storage tanks will be 100 feet in diameter and about 25 feet high. The GST floor elevations will be about 16 feet (Elev. 563.0') below the existing grades (Elev. 588.0 at top of the domes). The high-water level will be at Elev. 580.5' and the approximate ground elevation will be 579.0'. The tanks will be AWWA D 110 Type III prestressed concrete tanks. The potential vertical movement criteria is 1 inch. The maximum tolerable settlement is 6 inches with differential settlement between the center and the edge to be about 1.25 inches. The proposed GSTs will be constructed adjacent to each other at about 140 feet apart center to center from each other. The GSTs will have an estimated loading of about 2,000 psf. We understand that the proposed two ground storage tanks will be similar to each other. furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and perform all work for the construction of the following described project in accordance with City of Greenville Standard Specifications, which include the North Central Council of Governments Standard Specifications as the same has been adopted by the City of Greenville.
